Amy is a magna cum laude graduate of St. Louis University with a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a minor in psychology. She continued on at St. Louis University to complete both her Master and Doctorate of Physical Therapy.As a Teaching Assistant in the St. Louis University Kinesiology Lab, Amy focused on helping students understand musculoskeletal and nervous system interactions related to the wrist/hand, spine, pelvis/hip, knee, ankle/foot and posture.
For several years, Amy was a Physical Therapist for the Hermann Area District Hospital Rehabilitation Department in Hermann, Mo, where she worked with post-operative patients in all related specialties. This included working with emergency room assistive devices, moonboot fitting, and application to performing screenings and evaluations in the hospital-sponsored fitness center.
Amy's experience also includes shoulder examination and treatment, spinal evaluation and manipulation, hand dysfunctions, and muscle energy techniques for the lumber and sacral spine. Amy is an avid runner. She competes in marathon and 1/2 marathon distances, and enjoys treating running related dysfunctions.
